BENEFITING: City of Hope
Hello Family and Friends!
Can you believe it has been 3 1/2 years since my life saving stem cell transplant at City of Hope? Well, I sure can't! It was 4 years ago I was diagnosed with AML and told that my chances of survival depended on a transplant. I was blessed with a match, and the invaluable medical staff at City of Hope, and here I am today! All funds raised on this page will support Dr. Pullarkat’s research at City of Hope.
Also 4 years ago, I was running a half marathon not knowing why I wasn't feeling well. I barely completed the race. Now it is time to complete that race strong and with a purpose!
I am asking you to support my efforts in running in the Disney Half Marathon this September. Although I have attempted a few half marathons since my transplant, I have yet to finish one strong and 100% healthy. This is my goal this September!
By sponsoring my endeavor, you will be raising money and awareness for Leukemia reasearch. You will also be supporting and motivating me to run with a purpose and passion!
Any donation is greatly appriciated! I have registered for the event, and can't wait to see who is behind me! Beacause fighting cancer and finding a cure is close to my heart, I hope you'll "run" with me and help support City of Hope today!
All the funds I raise will go directly to City of Hope so they can continue their amazing work in research, treatment and education. And you can trust they’ll spend the dollars wisely – they’ve been awarded the highest rating of 4 stars by Charity Navigator, America’s premier charity watchdog group.
Can’t donate right now? Then help me reach my goal by sharing this page on Facebook and Twitter. Or, send an email to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to my page. Every little bit goes a long way!
Thanks so much for your support and generosity!
And remember.....It's Just One More Mile!
