BENEFITING: ADAMS STREET FOUNDATION INC
You all know I’m the Executive Director of the Adams Street Foundation – a foundation that exclusively serves the Urban Assembly School of Law & Justice (SLJ).
This year SLJ is celebrating its 10 year anniversary!
As you can imagine, I am very proud of what we have accomplished — almost all of our scholars come from low-income families, and over 90% of the SLJ have gone on to college!
Please help me support the next wave of students as part of:
SLJ’s 1,000 FUTURE SCHOLARS Campaign
For children living in poverty, a college degree matters. College graduates earn 70% more than their non-graduate peers as they begin to build their careers. The path to college is a path out of poverty.
We are the lucky ones –we didn’t grow up in poverty. We know what our college degree has done for us. But the SLJ students need more than luck, they need our support.
The money raised goes to providing the students of SLJ with a spectrum of focused services like: academic support programs, internships, mentorships, on- and off-site extracurricular activities, pre-college summer programs, trips and guest speakers, community service opportunities, an early college awareness curriculum, and differentiated college and career advising.
