Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, I serve as the Board Chair for Jewish Youth for Community Action (JYCA), an organization that does amazing work. JYCA relies on support from community members like you to develop incredible programs. As an alumna and board member, I have set a goal to raise $1,000 by the end of the summer. I hope you will help me reach my fundraising goal in support of JYCA!
I remember as a freshman in high school when I nervously stepped into my first JYCA Leadership Training Session. Like many teens, high school was not a particularly happy place or time for me, but JYCA was different: I found myself supported, challenged, and empowered with an incredible group of youth and amazing staff. JYCA was, and still is, a safe space for youth to build community, step into leadership roles, and engage in social justice activism.
JYCA’s now been around for 21 years. I am proud to be an alumni and board member of an organization that has helped to develop an entire generation of leaders. I see JYCA youth and alums making the world a better place every day: as activists and organizers in the movements for LGBT rights, climate justice, and racial and immigration justice (to name a few); as thoughtful and open-minded educators, lawyers, journalists and artists; and in countless other ways. In a time that feels particularly politically and socially tumultuous, that means a whole lot to me.
Please join me in supporting JYCA. With a small budget, a little bit goes a long way - and a large contribution makes a huge impact. Your donation is tax deductible.
Thank you so much for your support,
