The Challenge Begins!
July 05, 2016
K-9 Lifesavers is an all-volunteer, approved 501(c)(3), private non-profit rescue group, dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters, and other high-risk situations. We rescue dogs and puppies from high- kill shelters and high-risk situations in Alabama, Georgia, West Virginia, the Carolina’s, Tennessee, and Kentucky, where dogs are only held anywhere from three to seven days before euthanasia.
We not only take in the healthy dogs but also the sick and injured. The ones no one else will take. The ones that adopters pass over. We give them the vet care they need to get them healthy again. Whether that be medication or surgery. K-9 Lifesavers believes every dog deserves a chance to be loved and know what it's like to have a family of their own.
K-9 Lifesavers just celebrated our 10yr anniversary and we are looking forward to many more years of saving lives. But we can't do it without your support! K-9 Lifesavers is participating in the Michelson Found Animals Saving Pets Challenge 2016, a fundraising campaign focused on reducing shelter euthanasia. The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins a $50,000 donation! Second place wins $30,000, third place wins $20,000, fourth place wins $10,000, and fifth place wins $5,000. There will also be weekly Bonus Challenges for organizations to win another $35,000, but the BEST part is that even if we don’t win any of the grand prize money, we get to keep what we raise during the campaign! No donation is too small!
