Kaasi's Education Fund - a foster child in need
Organized by: Erica Meyer
Kaasi is a foster child who's parents voluntarily gave up their parental rights over 4 years ago, when she was just 9 years old. She experienced domestic abuse in the home between the parents and drug abuse by her parents while she was living at home. Her mother has since passed away and her father went to prison for the domestic abuse. She has been in and out of foster homes and shelters for the past 4 years with no stability. She has had two failed adoptions and last year alone she attended 4 different schools in 4 different cities. Kaasi came to live with me in May of this year. She has been placed in my home on a permanent basis until she ages out of foster care. As her foster mom, I would like her to have a well rounded education and a stable environment for the next four years of her life. I am hopeful Kaasi will be lucky enough to attend a private school that can help her achieve her educational goals and provide her the additional support she will require. She deserves a chance at life.... One she hasn't been given in the 13 years she has been on this earth. Funds raised will be used to pay for her tuition to attend 4 years (9th - 12th grade) at a local private school. Kaasi is a lovely girl and I am so blessed to have her in my life. I just want her to have a chance at success and stability! And she is really trying hard to be a successful young lady. She has dreams and aspirations. She wants to make something of her life and as her permanent foster parent I want to make sure she has that chance! Thank you in advance for your consideration!
