Bluetech Solutions Ltd and its partners are helping to drill a borehole in East Africa in a bid to raise awareness for the global water crisis. Our project proposes to drill one borehole in Engashura, Nakuru Kenya to benefit 3,000 women and children in this village. Often, women and children are responsible for collecting water for the household in Engashura and in the wider rural communities. This project will reduce the distance women and children cover in search for water from between 10-20km per day to less than 1km. The longer term impact expected is that the time saved will enable them to engage better in economic activities and improve their livelihoods, as well as seeing a reduction in adverse effects of children education. The project will also focus on improving the livelihood security of the people and most importantly the health and well-being of children, their families and the wider community. This is in line with the United Nation Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to halve the population of people without access to safe drinking water. Your contributions towards this worthy cause both financially and or material assistance will be highly appreciated. Thanking you in advance for your support.
