Kaidens seizure medication
Organized by: Brandon Donnelly
THE STORY:
There are many different types of seizures a few K has are
GrandMal
Absent
Tonic clonic
Partial seizure
Primary generalized seizure
Drop seizure
Another seizure Kaiden has had is--he will lift his right hand and his eyes will flutter, this one is new-as well as the one he had this weekend where he literally just stopped breathing and went limp.
Our biggest issue with these seizures is that-we can not get Kaiden to breath in a timely manner after he comes out of it. He is not strong enough to breath & every seizure he has it only gets worse. We have had to preform mouth to mouth to get him to breath in the past.
So what do we do in attempt to correct this issue?
We drug him.
One seizure medication after another, adding on to the ones he already has.
Is it working? No. What do we do? Add ANOTHER seizure medication.
This is the procedure that happens when the seizures are not controlled.
Add another pharmaceutical medication, and another....and another.
This has to stop. This is not what is best for our children. This is not a life.
Not knowing if this seizure will be the one to take your child is gut wrenching.
Every time...it takes longer and longer to breath...
