BENEFITING: UNITED MITOCHONDRIAL DISEASE FOUNDATION INC
Kailee seems like a normal happy, beautiful eight year old girl. However, She has endured many seizures and her disease is progressively taking away her ability to move and walk. There is no treatment that is approved in the US and there is no cure, only research and hope. The muscles will continue to weaken, until they are all affected and the brain.
The family has had to endure the pain of this news and the many challenges of providing Kailee optimal care, something any caring parent would want to be able to offer their child. Unfortunately, Tricare does not cover it all. Her needs include a ramp, a therapy swing, a weighted blanket, nursing care and other basic needs would help things be easier on this wonderful caring family.
