And just like that '10' has never meant so much

BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
EVENT DATE: Mar 05, 2017
Hi everyone. I'm Kai Martin and on March 5th, I'll be turning 10 years old. For FIVE years, instead of receiving gifts I've been raising money for cancer research and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society every birthday. Even though some people can't believe it, I would rather make a difference then get presents. Since my 6th birthday, people have helped me raise almost $6200 from my original goal of $100 when I was five. I chose Leukemia & Lymphoma Society because my Papa John and my Nana Gail both have these kinds of cancer. I hate cancer so much because it makes so many people sick and I don't want that. This year I have a really big goal. Really, really big. Bigger than ever before. I want to raise $3800. If I can, then in five years AND for my 10th birthday, I will have raised a total of $10,000. My mom said this will be really hard but I told her I want to try. Because fighting cancer is way harder than that. Thank you for your help and please have a GREAT day.
