Kaiya was born with Turner Syndrome in 2010. Turner syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects about 1 in every 2,000 baby girls and only affects females. A girl with Turner syndrome only has one normal X sex chromosome, rather than the usual two (XX). This chromosome variation happens randomly when the baby is conceived in the womb. Not only has Kaiya been to countless medical specialists for her related conditions, as well as 6 surgeries, she will have to spend the rest of her life continuing to see those specialists. Turner Syndrome Colorado helps raise money for the Turner Syndrome Clinic at Children's Hospital in Denver. TS Colorado also helps provide community support to those families in Colorado and the surrounding area so that they can better assist their daughters with this challenging condition. If possible, please consider helping to support Turner Syndrome Colorado and their efforts to make our TS community even stronger!
