For the 9th consecutive year, Kappa Sigma Fraternity will host its signature philanthropy event, "Sleep Out for the Soldiers". The brothers of the Alpha Lambda chapter will brave the Vermont winter for 27 hours in an effort to raise money for the Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign and will, for the second year in a row, directly support the SEAL Legacy Foundation. Brothers will camp outdoors at the chapter house, with the help of other Kappa Sigma chapters from across New England. The goal is to raise over $50,000, so everyone's help is needed.
The Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign supports veterans and other military charities through the generous contributions of over 320 chapters across the country. As mentioned, 100% of this year's proceeds will go towards the SEAL Legacy Foundation, which is dedicated to providing support to families of wounded and fallen United States Navy SEALs, educational assistance for SEALs and their families, and other charitable causes benefiting the SEAL community. In the past seven years, the Alpha Lambda chapter of Kappa Sigma has raised over $60,000 through this event and is excited about its recurring partnership with the SEAL Legacy
