Hello! My name is Daisha Campbell and I am representing Kappa Alpha Theta for Miss Greek 2016. I am from Lake Tapps, Washington and I have lived in the area my whole life. I attended Auburn Riverside High School where I was a cheerleader for four years and also a member of ASB. Throughout my high school career, I loved being involved within my community through volunteer work and extracurricular activities.
I was ultimately inspired to pursue Miss Greek because we are supporting an organization as wonderful as Cancer for College. This past February, my community mourned the loss of a high school student, who passed away after a nearly lifelong battle with cancer. Nick and I attended school together but it wasn’t until senior year that our paths finally crossed. Nick was elected Homecoming King in 2014, and I was lucky enough to be elected Homecoming Queen alongside him. Seeing Nick’s genuine happiness and the immense amount of support the community had was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Nick had the amazing ability to connect and inspire those around him. If he was still with us, I’m certain that an organization like Cancer for College would directly impact him and help him towards his future goals. With this idea in mind, I’ve decided to take on the challenge of Miss Greek in order to raise money for the many young adults out there who are fighting similar battles. Nearly everybody has been affected by cancer in some way, and everyone has a story.
Thank you so much for your consideration, every donation counts!
This one’s for you, Nick!
