In honor of the 50th anniversary of Kappa Phi Eta, we are trying to raise $15,000 for World Assistance for Cambodia, a charity that builds and supports schools for children living in rural Cambodia. To date, the chairty has built and supported over 500 schools for children with extremely limited access to education and opportunities. For less than $50 per alumna, we can help build a school and will be thanked with the naming rights to a classroom. Additional support opportunities include:
The Girls Be Ambitious program, which sponsors education for the children most often sold into trafficking or kept home to work in impoverished families,
Low energy computers, a thoughtful way to provide computer access to areas with limited electricity,
Solar panels and internet access to power the computers and provide the children with unprecedented information access in areas where books are limited,
Additional programs and personnel, including onsite vegetable gardens, libraries, nurses and teachers.
