On November 2, 2014 I will be running the NYC Marathon as a proud member of Team Hope for the Warriors. I am sure you are all familiar with this organization but let me give you a brief background. Hope for the Warriors was co-founded in 2006 by Robin Kelleher and Shannon Maxwell after Maxwell’s husband, Tim Maxwell, was wounded in Iraq and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It is a national non-profit organization that provides assistance to combat wounded service members, their families, as well as the families of those killed in action. Hope for the Warriors provides various forms of aid to veterans, including building or refurbishing homes and providing professional development. It raises awareness of returning veterans by hosting Run for the Warriors in different areas throughout the United States and in 2011, Hope for the Warriors was a charity partner for the New York City Marathon. Although Hope for the Warriors has come a long way, there is still much more to be done. I would greatly appreciate any donations you are willing to give. A little bit can go a long way! Please see below for my website link as well as a short video clip. Thank you again for your donations!
