Kara's 5 Year Anniversary Fundraiser for Pinked Perspective

THE STORY:
This July marks 5 years since breast cancer became part of our story. In the years since my initial diagnosis, we have attempted to turn our experience into something that could be used for good in the lives of others through the non-profit ministry of Pinked Perspective (www.pinkedperspective.org). Pinked Perspective was formed to support those facing a breast cancer diagnosis through mentorship and Breast Cancer Kits (care packages that help prepare for surgery/treatment) . The requests for Breast Cancer Kits has significantly increased over the last several months. Although we use October as a time to collect donations for the items that go into the Breast Cancer Kits, we are finding a need to expand our fundraising efforts so that those facing the reality of a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment can continue to be encouraged by receiving these kits. We have always heard the 5 Year mark to be a big one and we feel extremely blessed to be looking back on the journey 5 years later. We also don't ever want to lose sight of how the experience changed us. For this reason, we want to use this 5 year celebration as an opportunity to continue the ministry that we feel called to do in supporting others that are facing what we did. Please know that we would love to support anyone that you love that may be facing a breast cancer diagnosis. We so appreciate your support in spreading the word about Pinked Perspective, joining one of our teams (Encouragement, Planning, Sewing, etc) and/or donating to fund the sending of these Kits to those in need of them.
