BENEFITING: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
EVENT DATE: Apr 17, 2017
97 Hidden Valley Road is much more than an address. It's a getaway - it's a reality check - it's a place that has brought my four children countless hours of joy. The Double H Ranch is a home away from home.
Our lives were forever changed 4 summers ago in 2013 when my husband Dennis and I were able to volunteer for a week as essential medical staff & bring our kids along for the journey. Double H was the second "Hole in the Wall Camp" in what is now an entire network of not-for-profit camps for children with serious illnesses. With the help of medical staff, weekly volunteers & Double H Ranch staff - we're able to share the experience of a lifetime with some really incredible kiddos.
Through fundraising efforts spanning the next few months, I hope to raise well over $8,000 to continue to assure our programming is 100% FREE for all of our children & families.
Thank you again and again for your continued support of all of my (slightly insane) running endeavors.
Health & Happiness,
For more information on the Hole in the Wall story, feel free to read more below:
Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides "a different kind of healing" to more than 25,000 seriously ill children and family members annually - all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in more than 35 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast.
Our goal is to ensure that every child with a serious medical condition has the chance to experience the world of possibilities that camp has to offer. Through the generosity of others, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp community provides this unique healing experience to kids in need and their families, including those who may not be able to come to Camp.
