Bib #27408 - Start Time 11:15

Hi Karen and Chris,

I would like to thank you for your contribution to the METROWEST YMCA on my behalf, and tell you just how much your support has meant to me during this long training season, especially these last few weeks. The support from friends like you has helped to keep me positive. I may have recently lost two people who were close to me, but they will inspire and motivate me to live every day to the fullest, including marathon day. Of course I would trade all of the inspiration in the world to have them back on earth, but I believe they are here in spirit and that I must honor them by pushing myself to do my best.

If you would like to track my progress during race day - you can do so in a number of ways:

Sign up for text alerts as I pass various mile markers on the course. Follow directions the this link:

Download the Boston Marathon Mobile App (for both iPhone and Android Devices). Follow this link to learn more:

You can also check my progress on the BAA website here:

Thank you so much for all you have done for the METROWEST YMCA, and for me! You helped get me to the starting line, and you will carry me to that finish! I hope you have a wonderful Patriots Day, and I hope to see you along the course.

Stuff About Me:

As many of you know running the Falmouth Road Race is a family tradition. Many of his friends ran it with my dad and then took part in the infamous “Falmouth parties” back at the house in Marstons Mills. My Dad ran Falmouth for 10 years in a row and several years ago Chris and I took over to carry on the tradition.
A few years ago, after my Dad’s brain tumor surgery, he spent several weeks at Spaulding Rehab Cape Cod. He received wonderful care from many special nurses and therapists. He left there stronger and ready to get back to his life on the cape.  As you know that all changed April 1, 2014.
I was honored to run Falmouth in 2014 for my Dad.  I wanted to run with a purpose, to give back to the many people who helped my dad along the way, my way of doing something positive within all the negative.

This year I have the the privledge of running in honor of my dad as well as our friend Connor Heffler, one of the bravest kids there is.  Connor is a friend and teammate of Jack's and was a patient at Spaulding in Boston while he was recovering from a spinal tumor.  Connor continues to fight the good fight, and we hope to see him back on the ice soon.  I will be thinking of these two every step of the 7.1 miles.

I hope you will consider supporting me in my efforts to give back to Spaulding and in honoring my Dad & Connor.
