BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
When Karen first learned that she had colon cancer, she was in the process of producing her second Broadway benefit for the American Cancer Society.
Karen never for a second considered cancelling the benefit. With the help of co-producer Rebecca Brooksher and an army of support, she raised thousands of dollars for cancer research and put a clear stake in the ground: she wasn’t going to back down.
Karen's courageous battle ended on May 30, 2017, 20 months after her diagnosis. It is now our job to continue her fight. We can’t back down for her.
With the help of Crowdrise, we are giving you the opportunity to directly support cancer researchers through a restricted, tax-deductible gift to the American Cancer Society’s research program. Every dollar helps, and every gift continues Karen’s legacy.
Research is at the heart of the American Cancer Society's mission and we’ve played a role in most major cancer breakthroughs in recent history.
Each year, hundreds of young researchers go unfunded, without the chance to look for the next possible cancer breakthrough. These researchers are some of the most innovative, scientific professionals in their field and could be the key to finding more and better cancer treatment options and prevention methods. Donate now to help fund their research.
The American Cancer Society is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
