BENEFITING: NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania
EVENT: Over the Edge Scranton 2016
EVENT DATE: Jun 11, 2016
Please help me help those who have assisted hundreds of West Scranton homeowners. NeighborWorks NEPA provide services to improve lives and strengthen neighborhoods throughout northeastern Pennsylvania.
NWNEPA will be in West Scranton for another year and have partnered with us to paint the exterior of the new community center in May and commission a mural on the westerly side of the building in August. In the past few years the West Scranton Hyde Park Neighborhood Watch has been blessed to benefit from this this amazing agency. We now have the new small meeting room in West Precinct and have shared hundreds of volunteers who assisted in cleanups in our parks.
Needless to say, I will in sound mind will go “Over the Edge Scranton”. It’s the least I can do to support the great staff of NWNEPA. But I need your help in raising $1,000.00, so that I can rappel down the Bank Towers Building, June 11, 2016. Only 92 people will be chosen.
You all know I will do what it takes to get things done for our community. I’ve picked up trash during clean ups that include dead critters. I have shoveled horse manure for the community garden. I biked over one hundred miles on our West Scranton streets and on the Lackawanna Heritage Trail. I have walked and canvassed all of West Side taking surveys, distributing many flyers for events and meetings. Pretty much what is necessary for grassroots community building.
I am sure many of you have done these and other incentives in your lifetime. But few can say that they would take the bite and became a Zombie trolling the tunnel in the flood trenches, walking the streets of West Scranton and floating down the Lackawanna River.
Let’s add scaling down a skyscraper! That’s right. I will be bitten again and rappel as the undead.
Your donation is greatly appreciated.
