Kashf Foundation’s mission is “Serving all with dignity by providing quality and cost effective microfinance services to low income households that alleviate poverty and enable women to become active agents of social and economic change, through building alliances, promoting linkages and developing entrepreneurship”
Since its establishment in 1996, Kashf Foundation has been working to help low-income households, especially women, gain financial access to improve the financial helath of their households. Kashf also provides anciliary services such as financial education, financial literacy, gender justice trainings, and social advocacy through drama and television to help build an enabling environment for women entreprenuers to work in.
Kashf supported entrepreneurs are engaged in a wide array of businesses from the more traditional businesses such as embellishment work, embroidery, tailoring and stitching to the more innovative businesses such as manufacturing wigs, making party decorations, packaging spices, running recycling businesses, and setting up beauty parlors.
