Kashmir Flood Relief
Organized by: Junaid Banday
EVENT DATE Sep 14, 2014
Kashmir is witnessing it's worst flood in its recorded history, which has left thousands of families either trapped or stranded. I haven't heard from anyone in my family yet.
Families are still trapped and the most recent reports say that only 35% of the people have been rescued. Some areas have been affected more severely than others. More than 450 people have been reported dead and there are many more unconfirmed deaths. Around 2500 villages have been destroyed and hospitals and necessary medicines are under water. There are only temporary medical centers with limited supplies.
By setting up this fund we want to help the victims with , Life Jackets, Food, Clothes, Medicines and Flash Lights.
I have been in touch with my friends in Delhi who are supplying everything to Kashmir from there and have all the necessary contact to know what is needed at the moment.
Please donate as much as you can to help these victims. Everything will be bought in Delhi and coordinated with people there to carry the supplies to Kashmir and I will personally overlook the purchase of commodities in Delhi and keep everyone updated. Your help will go a long way
