Tomorrow I depart for my biggest adventure yet. I'm headed to Everest Base Camp with a team of social entrepreneurs and public health professionals to raise awareness for sanitation issues worldwide. Twenty-two of us will meet in Kathmandu on Wednesday and our trek begins Friday. Eight days later, we will reach base camp, at an altitude of 17,598 ft. From there, three members of our team will carry the Toilet Hackers banner to the peak, making global sanitation the world’s “highest” priority.
Toilet Hackers has partnered with Crowdrise to create the #Trek4Toilets fundraising campaign to help raise awareness for global sanitation and provide life-saving hygiene training to over 18,000 people in Kibera, Kenya. It is time to tackle the global sanitation crisis faced directly by 2.5 billion people every day. A donation of $10 will provide 1 toilet to a community, but that one toilet has the potential to help young girls stay in school.
Thank you for your support!
