This year, I'm fundraising and running the Philadelphia Half Marathon for the Athletes v. Epilepsy and the Epilepsy Foundation in honor of those whose lives have been impacted by epilepsy. Most people don't know that while I was growing up, a very close family member suffered from Occipital Epilepsy of Childhood. While it was unfortunate that this family member had any form of epilepsy, he was fortunate in that he eventually grew out of the disorder. I did not realize when we were kids how serious epilepsy can be, but I know now that my family was lucky. Please consider donating for those whose lives have been touched by epilepsy.
