I started running a year ago in December to pass time between class at UNI and work, all done indoors on the treadmill. Challenged myself to increase the miles every other run and hit the streets when the weather got warm. Ran 10 5k's from December-now and 1 10k. Set a PR on almost every 5k. Got the opportunity to continue the running high by running a half marathon in Austin, Texas. Heard about Running4Change and decided, "If I'm logging these miles anyway, why not do it for a good cause." Enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people and continued support I have gotten from friends and family.
