Hunger is the world's most solvable problem.
Right now, 49 million Americans are going hungry—they don't know when they will get their next meal--and many of them are children. Childhood hunger affects not just growing young bodies but also the ability to concentrate and learn in school. The reality is there IS enough food in the world today for everyone to get the nourishment they need for a healthy and productive life.
This fall, Women’s Health will once again host our run with a mission. Run a 10K with us, and you will instantly provide 10 meals for those going hungry in your local and surrounding communities. You can join us by racing in a major city near you, joining me for the Chicago race in October, or donating for the cause.
Your Run 10 Feed 10 registration fee will feed 10 meals locally (even if you use discount code WHRUDA to save $5!) and cover some costs of the event. An additional $40 can feed a family for a month via the FEED organization. Visit RUN10FEED10.COM to register to run.
RUN 10 FEED 10 started in 2012 with the hope of raising money and awareness for the dire hunger problem in America. The concept was a simple one. RUN a 10K and FEED 10 hungry people in your hometown. Since they started, they have raised enough money to provide 3.75 million meals to Americans in need. Now, going into their fourth year, they need our help once again to reach their goal of providing 5 million meals. We can make a huge impact in a very simple way!
No donation is too small. :)
