BENEFITING: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association
I will always remember the day in January of 2016 that my best friend's father was diagnosed with ALS. It was the first time this disease ever really hit close to home. A few days after receiving this heartbreaking news I was asked to join an outpatient healthcare team and establish an ALS center at Hackensack Meridian Health. In the last year and a half, my ALS patients have taught me more about courage and gratitude than I ever knew before. They are my inspiration and I am committed to supporting them in any way that I can! On November 18 I will be running the Philadelphia Half Marathon on behalf of the ALS Greater Philadelphia Chapter. I will be running in honor of my friend's father and each of my patients who have lost their battle to ALS, and all of my patients who are still fighting to find the joy in every day. Please help to support my race and find a cure for this devastating disease!
