Please help me in supporting the Alzheimer’s Association!
More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s. There is no cure. There is no prevention. Our only chance at defeating this disease is through research. As the largest non-profit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Alzheimer’s Association is committed to accelerating progress of new treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure. Unfortunately this horrific disease is now personal. My dad has Alzheimer’s. I have watched this disease first-hand steal memories (but not his wicked sense of humor).
For those who know me, you won’t be surprised to learn that running a marathon has never been a dream of mine, it was never on any bucket list for me. That all changed on April 15, 2013, when two bombs went off while I was at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. To honor those impacted by the events of that day and to replace fear with new memories, I am determined to not just be at the finish line this year, but to cross it. As my dad embarks on his own medical marathon, I am honored to run the 2014 Boston Marathon while raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Thank you for your support!
