Hello! Thanks for considering a donation to my fundraising for 261fearless, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women through running and walking, started by Kathrine Switzer. I have been running on and off since I was seven. Back then I used to win our Thanksgiving turkey by running every year in a turket trot. I ran my way through High School on the soccer field and now I run around after my 2 boys - 5 and almost 2 - and run alone whenever I can. I met Kathrine in my role as the Race Director for the Right to Run 19K 5K in Seneca Falls. She is amazing and changing lives with her inspiring story and work around the globe.
Boston 2017 is my first marathon. It is big and bold and I am excited for the whole experience of training my mind and body and for the run on April 17, 2017. And to do it as part of the 261fearless team with Kathrine - to celebrate the 50th of her 1967 race - is a dream.
I am beyond proud to be running with the 261fearless team and I am doing it in the spirit of truly being fearless. Life is hard and not a straight line but there in our hardest moments we find nuggets of glory and we sharpen our grit and we persevere and overcome. I have stories about this but for now, I ask you to please donate to my fundraising goal of $7, 261 dollars.
Thank you thank you thank you.
