EVENT DATE: Nov 26, 2016
While having our friends and family celebrate with us is more than enough, we would be honored if in lieu of gifts, our loved ones chose to donate to one of our favorite non-profit organizations.
We are as passionate about each other as we are about the change we seek in the world. While we both deeply believe that the work of so many organizations that through advocacy and services, make our world more just and equitable, we have chosen two organizations that so deeply represent our values: advocacy for the rights of all immigrants and access to quality education for low-income children.
National Immigration Law Center:
TheNational Immigration Law Center (NILC) is one of the leading organizations in the U.S. exclusively dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of low-income immigrants. NILC believes that all people who live in the U.S.—regardless of their race, gender, immigration and/or economic status—should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Over the years, NILC has been at the forefront of many of the country’s greatest challenges when it comes to immigration issues, and play a major leadership role in addressing the real-life impact of polices that affect the ability of low-income immigrants to prosper and thrive.
