Kaydence's Epilepsy Foundation
Organized by: Constance Brown
My daughter Kaydence was diagnosed with infantile spasm seizure disorder , cerebral palsy and epilepsy at the age of 3 months. She's unable to walk , crawl, roll over, sit up, etc. She has up to eight to ten seizures a day. We have to travel back and forth to Birmingham, Al two to three times out a month so that we can be admitted into the hospital. We have to pay for transportation, hotels and food every time we have to visit Birmingham. The Ronald McDonald house doesn't have any availabile rooms to place us in so we have to stay in a hotel. The medications that she's on and also her seizures are preventing her from developing. She's 16 mos and she's not talking nor is she crawling. She can't take anything by mouth because tests shown that all her fluids were going straight into her lungs , so now she has a GT tube where she has to take all her formula and medications through her feeding tube. The reason for the fundraiser is to help with a place to stay and transportation to Birmingham. Every penny counts , thank you.
