Eric Devine wrote -This is the third year Kaygan's Devine Krew will be walking to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and their challenge of turning type one into type none.
Kaygan, 7, has had type 1 diabetes for two years, and her father, Eric, has had type 1 for 24 years. Together, they fight the good fight, and with JDRF's work, know that they are closer than ever to medical advances that will make this disease so much more manageable.
All Walk proceeds go to the JDRF, and directly to the prevention, support, and potential cure for those afflicted with type 1. For their first walk they raised over $3,000, and last year over $5,000. Every dollar helps, and is a step closer to the JDRF Northeastern New York chapter's goal of $600,000.
Thank for your support, and know we consider you, like our team motto says, "Sweeter than a pot o' gold."
