I chose to take the run-for-charity route for the X Warrior Challenge because, well why wouldn't you? I think it's such a great idea!
I've chosen to raise money for the Ronald McDonald house because it's a cause that is very dear to my heart I first heard about it when I was a kid and had a friend battling cancer who spent a lot of time at the Ronald McDonald House in Calgary. As an adult I got the chance to help out directly while volunteering for the Home for Dinner program and getting to meet families and children staying there and hearing their stories. It was a very humbling experience that made me not only grateful for my health and life but for my family who would do the same thing for me if I were in that position. RMH does so much for families dealing with childhood illness to make sure they are in the best position they can be, and that is why I want to help! Please click the link to donate and help me meet (and succeed) my goal! ❤️
Hear the battle cry, Canada.
X Warrior delivers a lifetime experience to come alive again while training for and completing a homegrown, world class Obstacle Course Race. Regain your health, passion and competitive spirit while giving back to the community.
A large part of what makes X Warrior unique is a special focus on the community and the charities within it. Calgary is known for its generosity, making it headquarters to many great organizations that focus on giving those who need it most, a helping hand. X Warrior exists not just to inspire physical challenge and health, but to inspire life-changing behaviors. Raising money for our three named charities is a critical part of that.
