BENEFITING: American Diabetes Association, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Jul 30, 2011
The American Diabetes Association is an important organization to me because I have three family members with diabetes - two with Type 1 and one with Type 2. So, diabetes seems to run in my family and has affected me personally through interactions with my family members. I believe it's about time we have a cure for diabetes! So, I am doing my part by riding in the Tour de Cure in 2011 and I currently have a fundraising goal of $250.
If you want to join the ride, I have included the details for the event below.
If you just want to support me and my ride, visit my participant center page and make a donation: http://bit.ly/afWdx5

The Oregon/SW Washington Tour de Cure offers cyclists an opportunity to enjoy the rolling hills of the Willamette Valley, winding your way through local vineyards, farms and hazelnut orchards. This year we will offer routes ranging from a 5 mile loop for all ages to our Century Ride, all leaving from Hillsboro Stadium.
All routes are fully supported with well-stocked rest stops, providing water, sports drinks, fruit and snacks. SAG vehicles, bike mechanics, medical support and radio communications are on the route to ensure you will have a safe and enjoyable ride. Once you cross the finish line, plan on staying and enjoying the festivities that include lunch, live music, free massages, kid's activities and vendor booths.
Start Location is Hillsboro Stadium.
