Dear friends and family, We…
Dear friends and family,

We are so grateful for the generous donations and well wishes since Dusty’s accident. We are also so thankful that he is on the road to recovery-but he has a long journey ahead of him and more support is needed.

As you know, Dusty suffered a ruptured bladder, and nine broken bones (in skull, both arms and a leg). One elbow was completely shattered and required a skin graft. He’s survived more surgeries in the past month than most of us will probably endure in a lifetime.

May 12th was Dally's 1st B-day. He's so lucky to have such a strong daddy and he gives him a reason to get better every day.

Dusty is still waiting for a subacute care facility to accept his Medicaid so he can begin his rehabilitation. He's also waiting for Medicaid to approve his rehab and a home nurse. We're doing everything we can to help get the process moving forward, including a request sent to Senator Jen Beck- anything to help speed things up.

We would love to invite you to a special fundraiser for Dusty at Brighton Bar in Asbury Park on June 19. There will be music, bikes, cars and plenty of friends and family- everything Dusty loves. The cover is $10 and there will be a raffle that will help us, help him through his recovery. Please come and support Dusty-I know he wishes he could be there with you.

Again, thank you all for your generous support and warm words of encouragement- it just means so much to our family at this time.

We are forever grateful.

Love,

Gussie, Dally and family

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

LATEST HEALTH UPDATE- Dusty had successful skin graft surgery on Friday (4/17). Currently, there are no other surgeries planned (five is enough...right?). The next goal is to find a Sub Acute Care Facility, so we can get Dusty back in the Monmouth County, NJ area. There are a couple being checked out now. We want to be sure they can provide the care Dusty will need as he continues to recover. Once he is "home", he will start his long rehabilitation period.

Special note - Dally's 1st B-Day is on May 12th. It would be great if Dusty could come home for Dally's big day. Fingers crossed.
