The Story

On Sunday, September 11th, 2016 343 Firefighters will embark on a 110 story climb to the top of the Town Pavilion high rise in downtown Kansas City in remembrance of the 343 firefighters killed on 9-11-2001. Firefighters will climb in honor of one FDNY firefighter as they make their way to the top with a team of other firefighters. The overall cause is to raise donations for fallen firefighters and remember the fallen. Registration is capped at 343 it is recommended to enroll when sign up starts. You may sign up as a team or an individual. Teams will vary from 4-6 persons based on groups and individual sign ups. If you sign up as a group you will be placed together. Since 2011 the Kansas City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb has filled to its capacity of 343 firefighters with the help of over 80 departments from 8 states.
