HIV/AIDS related deaths have left many children of Swaziland, Africa orphaned. With little education, food, or support - those orphaned struggle to play the head of household role - raising and supporting themselves and younger siblings. This is where Give Hope, Fight Poverty (GHFP) comes in. The core of their mission is to "educate, empower and lift orphaned and vulnerable children out of poverty". With the help from service learning trips (what I'll be doing!) and donations - GHFP has built a primary school (and decorated it!), a kitchen, a sustainable garden, and has provided countless other necessary items to the orphans including food and school supplies. I'm beyond excited to be able to help out with this amazing organization - which was started by a fellow Purdue grad! Please donate to help me with my journey and improve the lives of orphaned children in Swaziland.
