Keep a beautiful family in their home
Organized by: jerry MCCLAIN
This family is very special. They are my family. We have been through rough times as have many families. We moved about a year ago for what we believed was a great career opportunity. We have 3 wonderful children who need only love and stability. Our youngest son is 6 he was born at 27 weeks and weighed a little over a pound. He is doing much better thanks to great doctors and our loving God. However the move was difficult due to his lung issues, He has chronic lung disease from his premature birth. He has spent several nights in the emergency room and 4 days over the New Year's holiday in children's hospital in Washington. Our 10 year old had to have surgery on his foot over the summer to remove some growths. They turned out to be benign and he has recovered nicely. In may my wife fell off our deck and broke he foot and ankle. It is not healing properly and she may need surgery. I tell you all of this to inform you of the strain these have put on our family both emotionally and financially. We have been living as many people do paycheck to paycheck. 3 weeks ago I went into work as normal, had a very typical day until after lunch when I was pulled into the office and told my position was one of several that was being eliminated for cost savings. I was not offered any severance nor any notice. I have applied for unemployment which will help. I have had several interviews so I feel I will be back to work very soon. We will just need help to get over the hump. Any money raised will go to rent and utilities.
We have reached out to social services but they said they can not do anything at this time.
Thank you for reading my story and God bless you.
