BENEFITING: Little Kids Rock
As most of you know, music plays an important role in my life. I play guitar and have been writing my own songs for quite a while. I've also attended many concerts thanks to my parents like Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam, who are my biggest influences.
For my Bar Mitzvah project, I've decided to hold a concert to benefit an organization called Little Kids Rock.
"Little Kids Rock partners with public school districts in some of the nation’s most economically disadvantaged communities with the goal of ensuring that all students (K-12) have access to music education and its many benefits."
I chose this organization because I want other kids to have the same exposure to music that I have been fortunate enough to have. Music has enriched my life, made me a better person and has given me a creative outlet for my innermost thoughts and feelings. For those reasons and more, I can't imagine my life without music and my guitars. I want to help other kids to have that same opportunity.
The benefit concert will take place on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Crossroads in Garwood, NJ. We have a great line-up of talent and I will be performing as well. I hope you can join me and my family for a great night of music for a worthy cause that means so much to me. But, if you can't make it please consider donating here. Thanks for helping to #keepthekidsrockin'!
