Angela Harris was diagnosed with breast cancer, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Triple Negative on September 14, 2012. She started chemotherapy on October 23, 2012 while she was pregnant with her 3rd child. Her chemo treatments are supposed to last 6-8 months and then daily radiation treatment that is supposed to last 6 1/2 weeks after chemo treatments are done.
A few months ago, she had just started a new job (temporary to permanent) which she has now lost and has lost her car. She was in the process of being evicted so her and her 3 children have moved back in to her parent's house, where her caregiver is her 69 year old mother.
Her daughter Courtney, has been enrolled in preschool, but now that there isn't any money coming in, she is trying to find ways to keep her in school so that she won't focus so much on Angela being sick from the treatments and losing her hair, etc., -- she is having such a hard time dealing with all of the changes over the past couple of months.
FMC is raising money for Courtney to be able to continue to go to her daycare. At the end of February all funds raised will be donated to Cactus Kids Preschool on Courtney and Angela’s behalf for tuition. The school has lowered the tuition to $80/Week. Any amount that you can give will make a difference.
Angela could have asked FMC to help her in many ways and she chose daycare for her daughter. FMC is proud to have Angela and Courtney as our first mission to help Young Adults with Cancer. Our goal is to raise enough money for 2 months of daycare.
