Keeping little Alezio safe.
Organized by: Maylin Romero
Hello friends and family. About three and a half years ago my brother brought us home a girl pregnant with a baby boy. Even though we did not know this girl we welcomed her to our family. Slowly we learned things about this girls past from her mother and father. We learned she had been in jail, she had multi split personalities, she was also bipolar and had a long history with substance abuse. We still did not judge her and treated her as family. After my nephew was born things took a turn for the worse. She could not control her emotions and would not accept help from us. She started to become physically and mentally abusive to my nephew, he was only eight months at the time. I would wake up sometimes at 1am and find the baby in his crib and my front door wide open. I would go outside and down the street in the dark i would find his mother walking lost, no shoes and spanky underwear that revealed her private areas. There were several times i came out of my room to grab my nephew because she was screaming at him hitting her head against the wall. Soon she met some men who promised her she would be a famous pornographic star making lots of money. She picked up one day and without a word left my nephew with a fever no medical card or birth certficate. Child services came to our home threatening to take my nephew if she did not come and sign temporary custody over to my mother. She showed up to the house with a black eye and signed over temporary custody. That was over two and a half years ago. To date she is still not willing to get help and is now trying to get my nephew from my mothers care. We fear for my nephews well being. My mother has sacrificed so much for this little boy and loves him more then words can describe. She has recently made threats about taking him away. We have spoken with an attorney who has advised us that we are in for a very emotional long fight. The attorney fees are overwhelming as my mother does not bring in alot of income. I am coming to my friends and family humbly to ask if anyone can help us so that we can retain this lawyer. My mother and i would owe you the world.
