Malala Yousufzai is a 14 year old advocate of female access to education in Pakistan. Living in the Swat valley region of Pakistan which has been a deeply entrenched Taliban stronghold, Malala risked her life to champion gender equality where it wasn't uncommon for terrorists to randomly search homes to check whether or not girls were reading books or watching TV. She is also the first ever winner of the Pakistani Peace Prize as she was recognized for her courageous fight for gender equality in education.

Today, Malala needs our help. On October 9th, 2012 a schoolvan carrying 14 year old Malala Yousufzai and two of her female classmates were stopped by Taliban terrorists. The men asked which one of the women was Malala and upon identification they opened fire on the van. Malala is currently fighting for her life with a bullet lodged in her brain and is receiving healthcare overseas, but her healthcare issues from her vicious attack will be long, arduous and costly.

Let us show the Taliban that the world will not tolerate such barbarism and ignorance, that we will support this young lady whose only crime was seeking an education as a woman. Please donate to help young Malala and her quest for access to education for all women in Pakistan.
