Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) - an initiative of the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation - brings college and university students together to turn ideas into action on local and global challenges.
In the CGI U Commitments Challenge, student teams square off to fund their social innovation, enterprise, and sustainability commitments. Similar to the NCAA "March Madness" tournament, the 16 student teams who raise the most money in the first round will compete in a head-to-head “bracket” to crowd-fund for their CGI U Commitments to Action. The winner will be announced on March 7 at CGI U 2015 in Miami, Florida.
Every student has an individual fundraising page, and all of the student teams will be participating in CGI U 2015 meeting.
Regardless of who the final winner is, every student team will keep the funds that they raise for their commitments on CrowdRise. All funds will go directly to the individual students and are not donations to CGI U or the Clinton Foundation. Only one donation per person will count in each round, and the maximum individual donation is $25.
