Keira's Kure - Finding a cure for epilepsy!
Organized by: Kelli McMurran

(note from friends of the family);
Keira is your average 6 year-old kid. She loves American Girl dolls, her favorite color is well... "rainbow" ... and she enjoys eating "cheesy" hotdogs.
But she is different. See, Keira has epilepsy.
After two unsuccessful invasive brain surgeries, she still has about 20-25 mini seizures a day with 150+ "electrical discharges" - all of which can result in anything from zoning out, eyes rolling back to complete blackouts.
And as you can imagine, the bills for the brain surgeries, expensive medication, doctor visits and time off work are overwhelming.
It's for this reason that we have volunteered to fundraise on behalf of Keira's family. They are too modest to ask for help (which they desperately need). Your support (no matter what size) will be used to help fund previous and anticipated future medical costs, medications and surgeries.
Recently, the family of five moved 1000 miles away -- to be closer to a top-notch medical facility in St. Louis. Relatives took them in, the three kids started sharing a room and started new schools in a new city.
In unity they have dyed their hair purple - the color for epilepsy awareness. And they continue to look for a cure. They try new medications, they research additional surgeries...
Because THEY WILL NOT GIVE UP HOPE.
For without a cure, the long-term prognosis is severe cognitive damage.
But to Keira.... she's just a normal 6 year-old girl, who wants to be a vet or a nurse when she grows up. Oh, she'd also like her own room again... Someday.
(They ALL are grateful.)
We are ALL seeking a cure for sweet Keira - and in the meantime, your generous donation will help ease the burden through this difficult time.
THANK you in advance for your consideration! :) To learn more about Keira and to follow her Epilepsy Journey please request to join the Facebook group “Keira’s Epilepsy Journey” here --> http://bit.ly/Keira_Journey
