REACH is a referral-based program serving children living in an at-risk or unfortunate situation at home, children with a disability that greatly impacts some or all areas of their life, children who are socially isolated, and children who have suffered the loss of an immediate family member.
REACH believes that children thrive when they feel connected to a community that cares about and invests in their development. We strive to create a safe, structured, and predictable environment with a balance between unconditional love and accountability. We model and encourage empathy, tolerance, and acceptance to create resilient and compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
REACH is funded through grants, individual donors, major events like our car show and our gala and our many TEAM REACH running and challenge race events including the TOUGH MUDDER.
While REACH is honored to serve our hometown community of Newtown, we are not an organization that was established in response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. As such, we believe it is important to remain funded through grants and fundraising initiatives outside of Newtown so that all response funds generated after December 2012 can rightfully go to the families, schools, and organizations that need them most
