Cameron House has been a meaningful place for my family since my grandfather first became a part of the youth programs here. My mom and her brothers came to Cameron House, where my mom first developed her love for camping. I came to Cameron House summer programs starting in the 1st grade, and never stopped coming back.
As an adult staff member, my perspective on Cameron House has definitely shifted, and I'm humbled to be part of this community and the work we are doing here. I can see now that Cameron House isn't just a fun place for youth to hang out (though it IS a fun place for youth to hang out), or a program where parents who are working can send their kids (though it IS that). Cameron House provides for youth an opportunity to learn what it means to be in community, with peers and with adults who care about them. We are a place that provides support for families who need it, and are not confined by the borders of this building or what traditional out of school time programming provides. Cameron House has been instrumental in guiding my beliefs about how to do youth work. I've learned here to look at each youth as whole, and to adapt and define success in different ways based on what each kid needs.
To me, this is what makes Cameron House special. We deeply care about the individuals that come into our community, and will do as much as we can to help each individual youth achieve success knowing that each youth's path and destination is unique.
It would mean a lot to me if you would contribute towards this goal, and help Cameron House to continue to provide for our community and youth for a long time to come.

**UPDATE: Wow! So appreciative of the support- Cameron House is trying to raise $250,000 this year, and I'm blessed to have all of you contribute towards that, so let's keep going! Raising my goals, and counting on you all to help me get there!!
