In 5th grade I helped lead a 30 person 350.org march through my city of Eugene, Oregon. Now, as a senior in high school, I'm ready to join hundreds of others on a march to promote climate justice. In 1990 my mom went on a Global March for a Livable World focusing on environmental sustainability, and I've grown up listening to her stories and wishing to embark on my own march. Now is that time, both for me to live out one of my dreams, and to take real action on climate change. As I'm graduating from high school this June, the ability to go on this march will be the best graduation present. While climate change is the crisis of my generation, taking action on climate change is the movement of my generation, and I'm so excited to be part of the movement.
