Kelsey's Year of Service and Leadership
Organized by: Kelsey Thompson
When I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, I knew I was ending a chapter and beginning a new journey as a recent college graduate. While it was extremely difficult leaving the home that I had built for myself at Pitt, I decided to continue my learning experience in Pittsburgh by joining the PULSE program. PULSE cultivates a community of young servant leaders to transform Pittsburgh. They invite recent, college graduates (like myself) to partner with local nonprofits for a year of service and leadership. The PULSE program excites me because it provides me with the opportunity to give back to the city that provided me with so much during my three years as a student at Pitt. Part of my first task as a PULSE participant is to assemble a team of people who will support me in this work. I realize that I can’t do this work alone, that I need others to come alongside and partner with me. I am currently in the process of raising a minimum of $2,500 to cover expenses for this year of service and leadership. If possible, please consider helping me reach monetary goal. Your support will help impact the lives of Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable. Thank you for your support!! I couldn't do it without you!
