EVENT DATE: Aug 16, 2014
If you have ever been to one of my birthday parties in the past, you know that I like to do something each year that is EPIC. This year I turn 30, which as most of you know also means that my Pappi Robert turns 100. In honor of that remarkable milestone, and a desire to do something a little more meaningful, I would like to invite all of you on Saturday, August 16th to join me on a volunteer work day for Habitat for Humanity. The house site is in Bridgeport Connecticut. This is a full work day, so you must be available for the duration.
Here's how you can get involved:
1. Let me know that you will definitely be participating in the work day (no later than Aug 8th). Try to find people to sponsor you. The average worker tries to raise between $50-$100.
2. If you cannot raise that money, we will be raising money on this Crowdrise page to help sponsor our amazing volunteers. Put your personal message on the board below asking for some assistance if you need it. If you have family members or coworkers who would like to sponsor you, please direct them to this page to effortlessly contribute.
3. If you are not available to join us on the 16th, but would like to be there in spirit: please donate anywhere upwards of $1 to help sponsor those who are coming.
30 is a milestone for me also, and this year is all about gratitude. I am extremely fortunate to have amazing friends and loved ones, a meaningful job, and my health. In lieu of gifts this year, please, please donate to help me build a home for a family in need. Better yet, come work beside me!
