Kennedy White Fundraiser
Organized by: Watch Me Shine
EVENT DATE Dec 25, 2015
A fundraiser has been organized for the family of Kennedy White, a six-year-old little girl that unexpectedly passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015, after complications from an emergency surgery at EMMC. No one is ever prepared for such a tragedy; we are hoping that, in some way, this fundraiser may help the family, and offer some peace during such a devastating time.
Kennedy touched the hearts and souls of everyone who had the good fortune to meet her. Kennedy taught us as much about life and love as we taught her here at Watch Me Shine. We are so grateful for the time we had with her, and for how she impacted us. Kennedy’s smile was infectious; she could light up a room. Her personality was unique, and she was filled with an endless amount of spunk. Kennedy was surrounded by friends and family who she has touched in many ways. Her time here was too short, especially for those who knew her, as she penetrated the hearts of anyone that met her. Her hugs could make the worst day better. Her attitude and spunk would leave you laughing and chuckling as you drove home after a hard day’s work. Kennedy possessed strength, perseverance and the ability to overcome incredible odds. Her courage helped us to remember that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
With Kennedy's passing, we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated and cherished. Although we will miss her every day, she will forever remain in our hearts. Our prayers and love go out to her family members. To Kennedy, remember our little angel, don't over accessorize your wings; but glitter is ALWAYS acceptable! Kennedy you will be a star brighter than the rest, we love you!!
Quotes from Teachers and Therapists at Watch Me Shine:
“Kennedy penetrated our lives, gave meaning and value to our work and brought us much joy day-after-day.”
"Kennedy loved to be a sassy little princess who brought a smile to everyone's face. From her Z-snaps to the cheerleader kicks, she left a lasting impression on everyone and she will be dearly missed."
"She was so proud when she learned the letter K for Kennedy, W for White, and A for apple. She loved to sing to her peers and anyone else who would listen."
“Kennedy always showed up to school wearing flashy outfits. She would walk into the classroom, put her hands on her hips, wiggle her hips and have a clever and sassy way to show off the day’s outfit.”
“Oh, she was such a personality, we love you little angel.”
“Kennedy was full of spunk, often loving to do impulsive little ‘things’ just for effect or a laugh, we would have to turn our heads for a giggle, while trying to correct her actions. She was so full of personality always wanting to be the life of the party. She was such a precious little girl.”
"Kennedy possessed compassion that she showed towards other children, teachers, and her family on a daily basis. She added spice and charisma to all the activities that she participated in."
