Welcome to the 2016 "Row-A-Thon"! This is the third year of a charity fundraiser where proceeds go towards supporting efforts to fight childhood obesity. The Charity we are working with is the Jordan Levin Childhood Obesity Foundation (JLCOF). You can read more about this 501(c)(3) here:http://www.jlcof.org/
Each team will row a half marathon (21,097m). Your team can be comprised of as many or as few members as you like. Every team will have a minimum fundraising goal of $200 ($50 per person).
How many people can be on a team? - Your team can be JUST YOU, or your team can consist of as many people as you like. The recommended team size is 4, but you could have a larger team if you like. By creating a team, you are reserving ONE Concept2 Rower for that team.
Can my team be all male or all female? - Teams can consist of any gender make-up and any number of people. We will have a prize package of GBRX Clothing for the team consisting of 2 males, and 2 females with the fastest half marathon row time, but this by no means excludes you making your team up with whomever you like.
What is the minimum fundraising goal? - $200 per Concept2 Rowing Machine. If you register a team, you reserve 1 C2 Rower. That Team, whether it has 2 people or 10 people, has a minimum fundraising goal of $200. It doesn't matter if one person raises all the money, or the money is raised evenly across the team.
Can we raise more than the $200? - YES
What is the registration fee? - $17/athlete, $28 if you would like a t-shirt. This pricing remains constant whether you have 2 people on the team or 6. Each person pays their own registration fee when they sign up. The first person to sign up CREATES the team, the next people to sign up JOIN that team.
How far will be row? - Each C2 Rower will be set up row 21,097m. Team can be set up however you like. If a team wishes to participate that doesn't wish to row the full distance, that is fine. We still would love to have you participate in this event raising money for a worthy charity!
Once you sign up for this event, there will be a zero refund policy. Registration fees are low and all money is going to charity.
